The Formation Institute exists to form healthy disciples into the image of Christ for the good of others. To meet the various needs and stages of formation, we’ve created two ways to participate within the Institute: Formation Workshops and Formation Cohorts.

Formation Workshops

Workshops will cover relevant and practical topics of spiritual formation at an introductory level. They are lower-commitment, with usually little to no homework. Workshops are offered as half-day events, 3-4 times per year. Examples of topics include: Bible Reading Methods, Faith and Finances, Praying with the Psalms, Grace-Centered Parenting, The Gospel and the Workplace, etc. To register for the next upcoming Workshop, click the button below.

Formation Cohorts

Cohorts are groups of 15-20 men and women, together pursuing formation into the image of Christ for the good of others. They are higher-commitment, focused on training in three elements: spiritual practices, biblical theology, and missional living. Cohorts begin in September and end in May, meeting weekly on Sundays from 5:30p-7:30p. Participants engage in weekly practices, readings, lectures, discussions, and mentoring—along with an overnight spiritual retreat during the year. The cost is $50 + books for each Part ($100 for Parts A + B). This covers all resources and the spiritual retreat. Payment options and limited scholarships are available. Part A of the next Cohort begins September 7, 2025. Registrations open July 6th and the deadline is August 24th. To learn more and apply, click the button below.
